Lost File Reveals Hitler's Paranoia-(Guardian)
My Comment: I look into my crystal ball and I see future headline: Lost File Reveals Cheney's Psychosis

Lost file reveals Hitler's paranoia

Krysia Diver in Stuttgart

The Guardian

Adolf Hitler was so crippled with anxiety during his final days that he would scratch his neck and ears until they bled and demanded that his toilet water, as well as the water in which his eggs were boiled, be constantly analysed for traces of poison.

Before he took his own life he ordered his valet, Heinz Linge, to pour petrol over his body and burn it.

"You must never allow my corpse to fall into the hands of the Russians," he told Linge. "They would make a spectacle in Moscow out of my body and put it in waxworks."

Such fascinating insights into Hitler's life, unearthed in a Moscow archive, are published today in an account called The Hitler Book.

2. It's my sincere hope that bushitler ends up the same way.
He's almost there now. I wouldn't be at all surprised to find out he has food tasters, at the very least...

Enjoying your freedoms, bushie boy? Just keep thinking about the Hague...

4. just because you're paranoid, doesn't mean we're not out to get you, herr
hitler. i think it was reasonable for even a sane man (if he was sane) to be worried about such things considering what hitler had done. this speaks volumes, i believe, about his realization that he had committed unforgivable atrocities.

consider... bush may someday realize what he's done, and if not him, many of the rethugs who have bullied and forced things through may have their terrifying moments of regret as well.

6. Stalin was definitely not a fan of Hitler.

Günsche and Linge were seized by the Russians in 1945.

They were held captive for 10 years and interrogated daily to provide material to satisfy Stalin's curiosity.

7. Paranoid? He had good reason to be
Considering that Hitler survived something like 17 assassination attempts from 1938 to 1944, even what we would consider extreme caution on his part was arguably reasonable and rational.

8. Paranoia
I would probably be paranoid also, if 5 million really mad Soviet Soldiers and 2 million really mad American, British and Canadian Soldiers were all trying to get their hands on my ass.

9. Just like the concentration camp guards...
The human psyche can take only so much super-altered reality and habitual brutality before it starts to consume itself. The Death's Head regiments that ran the gas chambers routinely had to be transferred out when the nightmares and neurotic behavior started. For Hitler, the isolation and insulation from the effects of his acts allowed him greater time before the inevitable neuroses occurred. For the guards, the sight of so many young and old faces filled with despair and hopelessness was an unavoidable daily bath.
For George and Dick and Karl -- it will come.

10. Why didn't he take Prescott Bush with him?
Hitler could have saved us years of agony and possibly avoided a few assassinations, but no!
