I understand you'd like to express some preferences regarding your own end-of-life care.


Well, isn't this Schiavo woman's case giving everyone the creeps? I'd rather all my loved ones were on the same page, if it comes to that. And I figured this would be a good opportunity to set forth my druthers.


The conventional thing, of course, would be to memorialize your druthers in a living will and something called a durable power of attorney.


Privately, you mean.


Well, yes. Most people consider it a highly personal matter.


But why not take advantage of all these witnesses? The way I figure it, the more people who know what I want, the less confusion there'll be.
