The Politicizing of Terri Schiavo
The Terri Schiavo case has turned yet again into a conservative vs. Liberal debate—it shouldn't be

Not surprisingly, the Terri Schiavo case has turned yet again into a conservative vs. Liberal debate. Conservatives claim liberals want Terri Schiavo to die. Which is ridiculous. Yet it seems conservatives en masse have suddenly become life-long friends to Terri Schiavo and her family, presuming to know what conversations she may have or not have with her husband, Michael, who says Schiavo did not want to be kept alive on life support. Of course, the conservative pundits have seized on the subject of "life support," claiming Schiavo is not on life support (Syndicated columnist Michelle Malkin makes this point in her most recent column). However, she cannot eat or drink on her own.

1. Damn those right wing bastards!
Hippocricy has been a constant theme in right wing politics these days. Now, to explain my view point, I'm agnostic but I am well aquainted with christianity. So if god controlls who lives or dies, and somebody who suffered what would normally be(without modern medicine) a lethal injury, does that not mean that god had intended for this person to die? If this is so, then are we not interfering with the will of god?

Yes, modern medicine is a wonderful thing, but what they have done to that poor woman is inhumane. Basicly they have they have preserved her in a state I can't even begin to contemplate. How would you feel if you were in her position? I would be trying to yank the tube out myself. I'd rather die. I mean, think about it, your life is pretty much over right? Is there really anything to hope for? I mean, neurology isn't that advanced yet, and I don't think we're going be able to repair the human brain for a long time. Really, we can't even effectively repair nerve damage yet.

So Dumbya waltzes his butt up to the podeum and sais he doesn't think that it's right that she should be left to die. That damn brother of his started this whole media circus. Now the got protesters around the hospital and everything. I feel sorry for her husband, really I do. He is going to have to hire a bodygaurd and arm himself to the teeth for fear that one of these right wing jesus freaks gets all high on god and decides to take Mr. Smith and Wesson to go have a freindly little chat with him.(I hope I didn't ofeend anybody with that last comment but it needed to be said)

Enough with this crap. Let her die in peace and let her poor husband alone. He's been through enough, and shame on her parents too. Nobody wants to see one of their children die, but prolonging her suffering is not saving her life.
