ALIPAC Note: With reports coming in from around the nation of a split in the conservative base over the Bush amnesty and open borders plans, the nations most frequented conservative website erupted into a mutiny against Bush policies on Thursday. This article below elicited the response. Please take the time to read this article and the comments of many conservatives that are dismayed by Bush's statements about the Minuteman Project on FreeRepublic.com As many of you know, Free Republic had made previous efforts to control the debate by purging immigration reform users
WACO, Texas — President Bush yesterday said he opposes a civilian project to monitor illegal aliens crossing the border, characterizing them as "vigilantes."

He said he would pressure Congress to further loosen immigration law.

"I'm against vigilantes in the United States of America," Mr. Bush said at a joint press conference. "I'm for enforcing the law in a rational way." "

I could easily imagine Herr Bush saying he is against vigilantes, dissidents,NE liberals, most Dems, blue states, the uninsured, the underinsured, intellectuals,Academia, Veterans
in short he is against all who stand in the way of his POWER PLAY.
Bush is playing for keeps and the stakes are higher than a Himalayan cloud-burst

1. Illegal immigration and jobs leaving the US...
are winning issues- if either party had the nerve to go against the wealthy and the Hispanic Lobby.
