Why not drug test Congess, too?
A one-two punch from Larry Kane...

http://www.philly.com/mld/inquirer/news/editorial/11311590.htm

It is time to pass the paper cups to Congressmen Tom Davis (R., Va.) and Henry Waxman (D., Calif.), the leaders of the U.S. House government reform committee who led the time-wasting, expensive congressional investigation of steroid use in baseball.
<snip>
The questions I pose to you: Is baseball more important than war, the battle against terror, Social Security or the environment? Are possible tainted home-run records more important than Congress exposing its own ethics problems? Is steroid use by athletes more critical than creating new jobs and fighting the impact of gun violence? Is grandstanding about baseball's improprieties more deserving than a full congressional hearing on the rights and needs of Iraqi war veterans?

2. personally, I think drug testing is an invasion of privacy
and just an excuse to erode civil liberties.

Drug testing should be outlawed altogether, IMO.

4. I've posted this before, but one of Sylvia Browne's
predictions for the next thirty or so odd years is that the United States will begin subject members of Congress to random drug screenings and financial audits (sometime after 2020). Heh. Supposedly, perspective members of Congress will also have to demonstrate "clean" financial histories before beginning their campaigns.
