Ann Coulter's Latest; would you jump out a window?
Ann Coulter's latest screed names Arthur Sulzberg, publisher of the New York Times, as a traitor to America. I don't know about you, but i like him more already.

She also responds to the fact that she's had numerous opportunities to name names and hasn't. "During my recent book tour, I resisted the persistent, illiterate request that I name traitors. With a great deal of charity – and suspension of disbelief – I was willing to concede that many liberals were merely fatuous idiots. (In addition, I was loathe to name names for fear that liberals would start jumping out of windows.)"

So I think we need to ask ourselves; how many of us would jump out of a window if Ann Coulter called us traitors? I mean, honestly. I live on the first floor, so if everybody else was doing it, I might. Just to be part of the in crowd (although I guess I'd rather not--there are bushes out there.)

1. She is so wacky, that I will make a bold prediction,
and say that she will eventually become a radical liberal. Can anyone say Arianna?

2. oh GOD no
Anything but that. Actually I believe atomic Annie is way too full of poison to EVER cultivate an ounce of humanity or concern for anything except power and greed. Having HER in the midst would be like planting a garden in a toxic waste dump......

5. There is a difference:
Arianna was a clueless socialite, who talked conservative, then became politically educated, and (because of that education) became a aggressive liberal.

Ann is already edumacated; she can't claim ignorance. She's a liar doing it on purpose.

20. I don't know about that.
She's living proof that one can get all the way through an Ivy League school, get an advanced degree, and still not have an education.

Edited on Sat Sep-20-03 10:32 AM by ikojo
he attended the most elite schools in this country and he's a COMPLETE IDIOT!

Surely he is not indicative of what Phillips-Andover produces!

I know it's not easy getting into Harvard or Yale but I am also of the belief that if one comes from a wealthy enough family that one can basically buy anything (including a diploma from Yale or Harvard).

with the possible exception of Hollywood, she would have already been committed.

7. Frankly, I'd be honored if she called me a traitor,
judging by her own definition of traitor! As far as I'm concerned, Coulter and her ilk are the REAL traitors!

8. Jesus
By not opposing a military coup by the great Augusto Pinochet against a Chilean Marxist, Salvador Allende, the Times implied, the U.S. was party to a terrorist act similar to the 9-11 attack on America.

Great? I seem to recall this guy was a ruthless murderer of civilians and a total douchebag, God she's so full of shit.

Allende was an avowed Marxist, who, like Clinton, got into office on a plurality vote.

Pardon me, but that's better than Bush getting in without even having the most votes. Oh yeah, facts are not the issue here, the issue is that this guy got in with more votes than anyone else, but wasn't a nazi like Pinochet.

"It was Sept. 11." Parsed to its essentials, the Times' position is: We deserved it.

God damn it woman, THE DATE IT FUCKING HAPPENED WAS SEPTEMBER 11TH. Next thing you know she'll be saying that the bombing raids in Cambodia that brought Pol Pot into power was a brilliant stroke of foreign policy...

This woman needs to be arrested and sent to Gitmo.

I don't know what it would be about but it certainly would be about something she doesn't like.

11. She's nothing but a lame-assed kook
And those who listen to her are stupid, ignorant sh*thead male pukes who probably get off while they're reading her crap. If she told me to jump out a window, I'd grab her fashion-plated lapel and say, "you're coming with me, then!"

As far as her value to the pukes, it's obvious--she keeps the males distracted while some of the puke actors in hollywood keep the female pukes distracted. I used to like Bruce Willis and Mel Gibson, but after seeing them support the chimp-in-chief, I think I will spend my money elsewhere from now on.

Coulter's best friend, another conservative witch, Babs Olson, died in one of those planes on 9/11. You would think it would give her a little more sensibility. I think it made her crazier.

12. I wanna know just how Coulter got this gig...
and how I can get one like it.

After all, I have blond hair, tiny tits, and a dick. And I'm fully capable of saying really stupid things if I try hard enough.

What other qualifications are needed?

23. What kind of legs you sportin', TB?. . .
Maybe that's the ticket. Especially if they go all the way up and make a perfect ass of themselves, which Coulter's do quite well (though her arse is rather flat and nondescript).

13. Democratic representation as the enemy
This just about says it all:

Allende was an avowed Marxist, who, like Clinton, got into office on a plurality vote.

As the wingnuts see it, the enemy is not liberals, or even terrorists, but rather representative government. What they're so upset about is all these godless heathens (aka 'the people') getting in the way of what they view as their divine right to absolute power.

It certainly looks like they've been scared shitless by The Coming Democratic Majority.

14. Funny she names Sulzberger and the NYTimes where two reporters
Edited on Thu Sep-18-03 05:31 PM by sinookas
HAVE supposedly jumped to their deaths from the multi-story lunchroom.

They were both business reporters looking into ENRON matters, correct?

Ok, maybe it was just one reporter. Anybody got the link?
I know it has happened.

15. The agony and the irony

It's funny... everytime I see her book in the store I feel compelled to buy it to pinpoint the exact amount of bullshit that is contained there. Unfortunately, I would be supporting her so I guess I'll just have to wait for our socialist information network (the library ^_^) to debunk her lies and still not add anything to her funds.

Perhaps it is unfair of me, but I don't trust any self proclaimed watchdogs. I don't know what she's about but I don't trust anyone who makes charges of treason with out any direct support.

Seriously could someone tell me what her platform is? Most republicans fall into one of two groups. 1) Evil democrats are restricting our freedoms (economic, gun, to be inbred red necks) or 2) Evil democrats are restricting our freedom to restrict freedoms (they allow gays to be treated like human beings, they allow sex as more then just dreary duty to god, they allow people the chance to move up the economic ladder).

If anyone could help me I'd be much obliged

Just who are these 'rulers' going to let in to vote? I really think this type of thinking is way off. Like we are all serfs on the country estate. And The Bushies are the masters?????

Edited on Sun Sep-21-03 10:48 PM by Langis
Find a copy of Big Lies, and then a copy of Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them and put them on either side of her book. It gives you that warm and fuzzy feeling.
