Bush's costly fiasco in Iraq hitting home for America

The price increase has not only doubled the cost of securing one's home or business against the hurricane. Random Lengths, an Oregon-based lumber trade magazine, estimates that the spike in plywood costs caused by the war effort will add $2,000 to the average cost of building a new home anywhere in the United States.

And that's not all. Another hidden cost is the hike in gasoline prices caused by Bush administration energy policies. According to a Senate subcommittee report issued last March, administration decisions to add to the Strategic Petroleum Reserves, as well as other government purchases, drove crude oil prices up to their highest levels in 12 years and cost American citizens an additional $1 million a day

Yes by helping his corporate and energy cronies, he is causing
inflation in building and energy prices, in turn the economy moves
even slower, it does not help him at all.
