Limbaugh and McNabb

Author Al Franken was right.

Rush Limbaugh is a big, fat idiot. Well, less fat than formerly, but still an insufferable blowhard and bully, mired in self-aggrandizing delusion.

The delusions were on full display Wednesday before he decided to play the martyr card and resign from his short-lived gig on ESPN's Sunday NFL Countdown pregame show.

He quit because of the furor over his inane comment that Eagles star Donovan McNabb gets a free ride from the sports media because they are rooting for a black quarterback to succeed. The brushfire spread so quickly that Democratic presidential candidates, in hot pursuit of minority votes, were calling on ESPN to ax Limbaugh.<snip>

Remember, the flabby blowhard has been trying to get away from his daily hatefest and into something like a fotball gig for years...remember the struggle to get the ABC MondayNight Football gig?

Imagine the psychic toll of talking to no-one but scummy dittoheads day after day after day...no wonder the gutless thug's on pills!

wanting to get involved in interviews when the entire league knew that Detroit was going to hire Mariucci (sp?).

That was Rush testing the waters, seeing what he could get away with.

If the McNabb thing would have been ignored, who knows where he'd go next.
