Gore airlifts Katrina victims out of New Orleans
Former vice president chartered 2 private aircrafts

Friday, September 9, 2005; Posted: 4:14 p.m. EDT (20:14 GMT)

KNOXVILLE, Tennessee (AP) -- Al Gore helped airlift some 270 Katrina evacuees on two private charters from New Orleans, acting at the urging of a doctor who saved the life of the former vice president's son.

Gore criticized the Bush administration's slow response to Katrina in a speech Friday in San Francisco, but refused to be interviewed about the mercy missions he financed and flew on Sept. 3 and 4.

he is the actual president, and as the Congressional Black Caucus member said in Fahrenheit 9/11 "And I take great pride in calling you that."
Nov. 2000 was one of those classic "fork in the road" moments. Unfortunately, you know which route we took.

6. When Bush/Cheney are "resigned" DEMAND PRESIDENT GORE!!!
Bush & Cheney are too much of a liability to be allowed to stay. They will be "resigned" w/in the next 2-3 months. The replacement must be Gore.

He did this and made sure he got very little publicity. That's the only reason the headlines were not blaring his name when he flew down there.

AL GORE, THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES

to reporting a story that was on the blogosphere for the past couple of days. And this from a media that has been obsessed with finding feel-good stories to run about bush's disaster.

The "lib'rul" NYTs buried Al's good deed in para 17 of an article yesterday entitled Democrats Step Up Criticism of WH (they are carrying the full AP article on Gore's humanitarian and heroic act today: http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/national/AP-Katrina-Gore.html

Amazing.

I look for the RWNM machine to begin saying "Al Gore said that he invented aid for Katrina" before the week is out.

BTW - I started a post on this subject yesterday.

Further BTW - if you go to cnn.com and click the link to their Gore story it takes you to a useless window that doesn't allow you to read the story.

Final BTW - Gore paid for the flights himself at the cost of roughly $100,000.

10. Read the WHOLE story at tpmcafe.
Edited on Fri Sep-09-05 04:27 PM by stopbush
You'll get a FIRST HAND account that tells how FEMA and others tried to BLOCK Gore's efforts at every turn. The AP account is sanitized to avoid incriminating bushco & his minions:
