Rumsfeld's ethics, policies questionable
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 5, 2005

The mainstream press in the United States amazes me sometimes. They seem to have collective memory lapses when it comes to any issue that is more than a week old. And when it comes to our current Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld, I wonder if they ignore his past because they think it doesn't matter, or if they think he may jump over the podium at the Pentagon and put someone in a headlock (he is a former state champion wrestler, you know).

Rumsfeld has become a staple of D.C. political affairs, which really took off for him during the oh-so-squeaky clean Nixon administration. He has been involved in many key foreign policy decisions made since jumping into the beltway in the 1960s. But one should wonder, considering Rumsfeld's past, can he be trusted with doing what is truly right for America?
