4. I went to the congressional website and emailed him.
He's a fascist bastard giving aid and comfort
to the enemy in my book. What he said is not
only unconscionable but treason.

State Democrats blast Nethercutt for Iraq comment
By David Ammons
The Associated Press

OLYMPIA — State Democrats have blistered Republican U.S. Rep. George Nethercutt for saying Iraq's reconstruction is "a better and more important story than losing a couple of soldiers every day."

"It is a better and more important story than losing a couple of soldiers every day," he told his audience, while adding he did not want any more soldiers to die.

Nethercutt is part of a White House public relations offensive, the Democratic party said in a statement released by Berendt.

But that will never happen -- so why should he or any other chickenhawk give a damn?

I just saw a letter to the editor yesterday about this very same subject. www.stpetetimes.com

It was titled "Them or us".

10. A new swing set, and the trash got picked up
Oh, yeah, four Americans got killed today, but I think the swingset story is a much truer picture of our heroic efforts.

Jeezuz H, why is Nethercutt still allowed to waste the capitol air? Trent should come pick up and take him home!

11. Gen Schwarzkopf was pissed by the statement last night
He was on Hardball and you could tell this ticked him off.

Matthew: But here’s an odd-here’s a value statement by somebody I think might have an opinion on this. U.S. Congressman George Nethercutt of Washington state visited Iraq and came back saying, “The story of what we’ve done in the post-war period is remarkable. It is a better and more important story than losing a couple of soldiers every day.”

SCHWARZKOPF: Well, I don’t believe that for one second, OK? There’s nothing-there’s nothing that justifies the loss of one soldier, sailor, airman or Marine. I mean, it’s going to happen, and that’s the nature of war, but it’s something that none of us should ever be willing to accept as a-as a correct solution to anything.

13. Only if the basic training was at Camp Lejeune.
Thinking about the utter living hell-on-earth that the DIs would put that asshole through makes me cringe. He would be a marked man.
