'Morale slides' for US troops
Over 70% of United States troops in Iraq questioned by a Pentagon-funded newspaper say their morale is low or average, a new survey has found.

The survey by the Stars and Stripes newspaper also said that 49% of those polled did not plan to re-enlist, while 31% said the war in Iraq was of little or no value for the US.

About a third of the respondents said that their mission was "not clearly" or "not at all" defined, according to the poll.

1. my my my
so much changes in 6 months. This is the same Army who were calling protestors unpatriotic for not supporting their mission when they were leaving. Now they're getting shot at and <gasp> morale slides.

You signed up for it, you thought you were defending our freedom by going to Iraq. Cause Bush told you so.

This is why you should have kept your mouth shut like a good soldier and let the country debate whether or not sending you was the right idea, rather than slandering those who opposed sending you into the meatgrinder in which you now find yourselves.
