Jeb Bush Postpones Some FL Elections
I suppose this was necessary, but it's still chilling to see a bush with so much control over the process.

Defying the recommendations of both Miami-Dade County's elections department as well as the company that makes the county's touch-screen voting machines, Gov. Jeb Bush Friday ordered two Nov. 8 local elections to continue as scheduled, while delaying four other local races for less time than had been requested.

Both the county and Election Systems and Software, the company that manufactures Miami-Dade's voting machines, have warned state elections officials that the Nov. 8 date is too soon to ensure smooth operations at the polls. Their date of choice for all six upcoming local elections: Dec. 6.
....
But Bush, in an executive order issued Friday, said he was not convinced conditions in Miami-Dade required a monthlong delay. Bush postponed Nov. 1 elections in Miami, Hialeah, Miami Beach and Homestead, but pushed back Homestead only a week -- until Nov. 8.
....
A memo sent Friday from ES&S to state elections officials warned that holding elections Nov. 8 ``would put the election success at too high of a risk.''

3. Well, if you were a corporation would you pay overtime just
to steal another election? Gotta look at the bottom line, after all.

4. No, you'd reclassify those employees so they weren't eligible for
overtime - it's the new American way!
