Cindy getting slammed for US, deserves support POLL link

There is a poll on the page, asking if you would be interested in reading her book, I've ordered it and so I checked YES.
I feel in a way the poll was presented just to look like a negative perhaps. the Cue on Spew Crew are tryint to say no one cares about her naymore- but it isn't about her, It is about more people dying.
She gets constant attacks, for instance a photo of her waiting before a book signing is misrepresented by some to imply- look no one showed up- people aren't supporting 'her' ETC.

the media is down playing her down turn out in Crawford. Heck, I thought about going, but let's face it we can't do everything, but I do support her and all the others. she said about 500 showed up, for a brief holiday weekend- I think that's pretty good.

I am tired of the sickening stuff, they say about her. I've read so many really stupid comments like she is ugly- which of course she isn't, and she is a grown -upwoman- not a teenage beauty queen- comments like that are so sexist and mean.

the "no's' are at 76%. Yep, I do think CNN is setting her up for failure with this one.

I haven't read FR today. Just couldn't face it.

I just think most people don't read books. And if they do, they want happy little sexy stories or thriller novels :shrug:

It is a silly poll, ecause the 'no' votes don't really mean anything at all negative about her, or that the people are pro-war, but it does make you wonder what is the point of their poll, pretty obvious to me. It is intended to look negative.

Sure, only 25% have indicated they would be interested in reading the book, but the "interested" number is fast approaching the number they printed. Not bad!

Get Randi Rhodes to talk about it tomorrow (if she hasn't already) and sales should really take off!

Sure some of it many of us have read before, in the blogs, but it is worthwhile even as a keepsake.
I did not know that much about her speeches, and actions before she went to Crawford.
What pains me is, many people may select 'not interested' in reading the book, meaning they don't plan to buy it, beause they have followed the story etc., but not that they don't support what she does.
I definately get the feeling the poll is being used to 'demonstrate' that people are "sick of Cindy Sheehan" which seems to be another negative "talking point".

Although it may be an attempt to demonstrate "Cindy fatigue," I think the numbers actually show the opposite.

Supporting her efforts, and being engaged enough to be interested in reading her book, are very different thresholds. You're right. Many in the "not interested" group may nevertheless be pleased she is speaking out.

Interpreting the results of a poll measuring level of interest in her book as a measure of support for her efforts is faulty thinking.

Of course, just because it's faulty thinking won't stop people from drawing their silly conclusions.
