"Condoleezza Rice’s star rising"
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10602793/

"Secretary of state most popular member of Bush administration...."

"Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has become the most popular member of the Bush administration and a potential candidate to succeed her boss in the White House, even as Americans lose confidence in the president she serves and patience with the Iraq war she helped launch.

Entering her second year as the country’s senior diplomat and foreign policy spokeswoman, Rice has improbably shed much of her image as the hawkish “warrior princess” at President Bush’s side. The nickname was reportedly bestowed by her staff at the White House National Security Council, where Rice was an intimate member of Bush’s first-term war council."

So now she's the "warrior princess"? Lying shill is more like it! The 2008 spin begins. I hate MSNBC

4. By most popular they must mean least disliked
I mean, look at her competition. Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, et.al? Nary a "Mr. Congeniality" in the bunch.

7. If the RW chose Condi as their candidate...as unlikely as that is,
I'd like to see Hillary be hoer opponent! My biggest concern with Hillary is that she is a female. If that problem goes away, she is so much better than Condi ever hoped to be!

12. AP never credits anyone for anything they write that's supposed to be a
NEWS story.

(There is no reason to hate MSNBC here, except for passing on the story. They didn't write the thing.)

Time was when any uncredited news story from AP was supposed to be impartial and not carry water for anyone. This sure doesn't sound like that kind of story. What is happening to the AP?

13. usually too true, but in other media, AP's Anne Gearan is given credit
for scribing the marketing piece ... it's a wonder AP listed an author ...

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=103&topic_id=181163&mesg_id=181163

surely sickening ... not only the content of the PR piece, but the vehicle and tool the corporate media has become for corrpution, treason, and international war crime
