WASHINGTON, Feb 23 (IPS) - The founder and president of the Washington-based Centre for Security Policy (CSP), a small think tank funded mainly by U.S. defence contractors, far-right foundations, and right-wing Zionists, Gaffney was among the first to seize on the government's approval of a Dubai company to manage terminals at six major U.S. ports and helped blow it up into a major embarrassment to Pres. Before 911 his pet security project was domestic security in which he envisioned an economic collapse and/or ethnic unrest being so great a threat to security that only the armed forces could handle it. He proposed that this was the greatest threat to American security in a post cold war environment and that American Armed Forces focus their training (and their weapons) on unruly urban mobs who would become the next national security threat. This was his proposed new mission for a defense industry in search of a new mission, imposing martial law on American cities.

After 911, about which danger he and other so called security "experts" failed to prepare the nation, his alarming schemes for making the Pentagon the police force for downtown America disappeared from his website.

The man is a poor analyst with a inbred view of the world. His answer to "why do they hate us?" is "what's wrong with them?" You know, the "islamofascists."

He is an opportunist and propagandist of the worst kind. A loose cannon to be sure, he would be one of the first to placed in one of those martial law concentration camps for "immigrants" that his beloved defense contractors are building.
