Faith Hill: 'I Fear for Our Country'

Country-music heavyweights Faith Hill and Tim McGraw let loose with their feelings about the Hurricane Katrina cleanup effort Wednesday, calling the slow-going work "embarrassing" and "humiliating," ABC News reports.

"It is a huge, huge problem and it's embarrassing," Hill said. "I fear for our country if we can't handle our people (during) a natural disaster."

McGraw singled out President Bush directly, wondering aloud why the leader of the free world can't hold someone accountable for the cleanup.

I thought that most mainstream country artists supported Bush (except Dixie Chicks).

Were the only current mainstream artists to speak up for the Chicks. Thus, they are the ONLY Country people I listen to any more... and I used to listen to alot.

illigitimate son and his mother had him on her own. When Tim McGraw was a teen - he got on a bus and visited his father un-announced and asked that he help at least support his education. Then they reconciled. I'm not surprised they are Democrats. His mother never asked for any help - even while Tug was a famous & wealthy ball player.

All I can hope for is that they will listen to Faith Hill and Tim McGraw (Democrats).

You see, country cowboy music fans, you have to grab the horse by the reins BEFORE you let it get out of control. This requires the ability to judge the nature of the horse as well. We tried to warn you he was a wild, unstable horse, but you wouldn't listen. You strapped him up to the wagon, yelled "Gidy UP!", let go of the reins and went to sleep. We were bouncing around in the back of the wagon SCREAMING at you to wake up before it was too late.
