If Prez Hillary did what Bush is doing
http://local.lancasteronline.com/4/23027

After all, Republicans won’t be running this show forever. There will be a new president in 2008. It’s possible that president will be Hillary Clinton.

Tell me, would conservatives trust Hillary with the same unrestrained authority they would grant President Bush?

If a second Clinton administration uses telephone records to identify federal employees talking to Fox News, will conservatives shrug and say, well, freedom isn’t free?

Or might they finally start to worry about the Fourth Amendment?

Good lord, I can practically hear Limbaugh, Hannity, Coulter and the other usual suspects popping a collective blood vessel right now. And I might find myself in the rare and uncomfortable position of agreeing with them.

Because it’s one thing if we could be sure that these programs were being used only to identify potential terrorists. But for that to happen, Congress needs to pass laws that expressly make these programs legal, and set firm boundaries on how they are to be used.

Without this, the president — any president, all presidents — can unilaterally and secretly decide what is and isn’t legal.

And that’s a precedent that ultimately could be as dangerous as the threat of terrorism itself.

1. Actually It's not POSSIBLE
IF you want a repuke to win in 08 just nominate HILLARY.
The pukes are salivating over this possibility the only chance they have of beating a Dem is if we nominate Hillary.

2. Seems like you're playing right into the pugs hands
They sure know how to fool people. Hillary garners respect from many quarters, including moderate pugs and progressive dems. One just never knows where a supporter lurks. Perhaps you need a hill-pill. Honestly, you'll be better in the morning.

3. Just a warning these
racist rich white men can be made to heel. And Hillary is just what they need to unite them. Just watch how many times the MSM mentions hillary? It's their only hope for winning.

4. If by some miracle that conservative woman gets nominated
and by some major miracle she gets elected, I fully expect them to kill her.

6. She can run but she can't hide.
:dem: I hate to say it but when it comes to the Clintons, we give all our admiration, interest and attention to Bill.People either love president clinton or they despise him, with a passion so great that they still have him in every Political discussion or debate.I call it the Faux-ification of the Clintons. Hillary has a lot going for her,but her personality pales, next to her husband. She will not win the nomination, not because she is a woman but because she lacks the charisma that her husband has. What do think would happen? Unfortunely people don't care what she has to say? The press would hound her with questions concerning her husband. It is a real shame though because she will be known as one of the best Senators this country ever had.
