If U.S. District Judge David Katz sentences Tom Noe to federal prison as expected, the one-time fixture on the Toledo society scene would find himself in an entirely different world.

He would trade his suits and leather loafers for flip-flops and khakis. There would be little concern about the food - it's military-style - and alcohol is forbidden.

The former coin dealer's palatial Florida Keys home would be a memory; he likely would live with six men in 250 square feet...

2. Puh-leeze. Federal prisons are a cake walk compared to state.
My co-worker was in Riker's Island for 10 years and was telling us about how in the Federal Prisons there's vending machines, better gyms, and so much food (and better quality) that there's always tons left over. Sure, he may have to get living in what amounts to the size of a studio apartment in Manhattan, but Noe is going to be...just...fine.
