No matter how hard they try to pretend they're not a right-wing leaning paper, something generally comes up to betray them. Today in their editorials, they apply pressure on Senator's Graham and Nelson to break with Nancy Pelosi and show "their allegiance ...to Floridian's best interest."
The right-wing talking points are in the article "The bill is not perfect by any stretch, but it is progress. In this case, something is better than nothing."
Those words are EXACTLY what we've been hearing from the AARP ads, as well as the AARP representatives who are answering the phones.
My final comments: Progress is generally defined as moving forward, not backwards. The medicare bill is anything but progress and it's Orwellian double-speak to describe it otherwise.
