1. Wow. Sounds like what has happened in our country...
This sentence says it all...

Olmert is a prime minister whom journalists invented, journalists protected, and whose rule journalists preserved.

BTW- Welcome to DU!

6. Does this sound like anyone we know?
"He went to war hastily, without properly gauging the outcome. He blindly followed the military without asking the necessary questions. "

2. They dont hold back do they
Every single word a hard cold truth.

I guess they have to be hard people. They really do not have a choice of playing around with reality.

If you fail off with your head. That in a way is good. No one going to fool with ego then.

5. I freak out
When my country Leader as chair of OIC start talking about war.

Although the OIC is 57 nations strong they agreed on many key issue.
Just damn hard you know. 57 of them.

I think the OIC trying to hold back the Arab League.
So they now talk very very hard.

But when it is time to act they be all as one in this issue.
Winning is a forgone concluesion. But the pain and destruction is just too high a price.
But somewhere along the line someone has to tell bush FUCK OFF.

They are serious and bush better know that.

9. Unfortunately, I think Olmert's replacement would be worse
Something tells me Netanyahu could stand to gain a lot of power and attention in a situation like this, which would mean an even greater escalation in the violence and a much greater chance of a full-blown regional war. In fact I just found an interview (http://www.netanyahu.org/prognosticator.html) conducted by Ari Shavit, the author that wrote the editorial in the OP, that sounds very supportive of Netanyahu. Hopefully, the Netanyahu-wing of Likud is not the kind of change for which the majority of the Israeli people are looking, otherwise things are about to get a lot worse for everyone in the region.
