Bush and the Ideological Fight of the 21st century
Long, some interesting bits.

In his speech delivered yesterday in Utah, George Bush declared that the current fight against international terrorism can be compared with the fight against totalitarian regimes such as 'Fascists, Nazis, Communists and other' regimes of the 20th Century, that history teaches us that the fight against international terrorism will be long and hard, but that the terrorists will be defeated and finally he claimed that the international terrorist groups form a single movement.

Basically, this speech was the latest in a tournee of speeches that the US President will give as his popularity hits crisis proportions, a desperate attempt to justify his disastrous foreign policy which has so far squandered hundreds of billions of USD in dubious campaigns in a possible run-up to confrontation with Iran, after having given Israel a carte blanche to perpetrate massacres of civilians and war crimes. Popular with nobody, not even with his closest allies.

If one can say one thing about George Bush, at least he is consistent but were he to actually shoot himself in the foot so regularly with real ammunition, he would no longer have any feet to walk upon. For a start, comparing Communism to totalitarianism is as naive as it is wrong, it is as simplistic a notion as it is puerile and ill-formed.

The very principles of Communism are freedom and democracy, debate, dialogue and discussion ('Soviet' for instance means 'advisory committee'). Communism stands for universal access to education, excellent public services such as healthcare, transportation, cultural activities for leisure time, a work ethic which includes leisure as part of the daily routine, free housing, a guaranteed pension and essential living conditions.

1. Communists claiming "freedom" is as funny as Bush doing so.

4. Birds of a feather and all that
Reading the article, I wondered whether it was written just a tad ... ironically.

2. No, the question is: was 911 a inside job?
All of this so-called "fight against international terrorism" started with 911. But if 911 was a false flag operation then there really is no "fight against international terrorism" and it's all a farce.

3. So Bush has managed
to leave himself so open that even the criticism from the editorial board of Pravda seem mundane and moderate.

Yes at the ideal end of communism, the 'stuff' that capitalism produces is done by the 'state' and everyone shares, as opposed to capitalism, which unless you have the money to pursue your individualism, you might as well be living in a police state or some fractured broken community whose people no longer warrant investment.

Good editorial...it's funny...Bush is a idiot. But interesting though that even though some can find no shortage of insanely stupid things Bush has said ("Do You Have Blacks Too?"), the 'Islamo-fascist Crusader racism' is either ignored or finds approval among those same critics.

What a revolting development...the guy's a moran on any other subject, but is thought to be correct on his 'sizing' up the enemies' historical link to Nazism and Stalinism. Too much...

6. The revisionists are having far, far too much fun, aren't they?
Although, oddly, much of the rhetoric is exactly the same as it was in the '70s and '80s.

Say one thing, think another, do a third.

They have the historical meaning of 'sovet' down, however. Too bad the meaning in the 20th century was so ... unrelated.
