Keep talking, Democrats
Keep talking, Democrats
By Kirsten Powers

While the media breathlessly coo over President Bush's latest stunt to distract Americans from the casualties and chaos in Iraq, it is left to the Democrats to hold him accountable.

It is smart political strategy as well as Democrats' patriotic duty to challenge the president repeatedly for lying to get us into a war he has no plan to get us out of.

The conventional wisdom that says otherwise is the same that once said Howard Dean's anti-war position would hurt him. According to a recent USA TODAY/CNN/Gallup Poll, approval of the U.S. handling of Iraq has plummeted from 80% in April to just 42% in November.

Watch that number, because it reflects Americans' growing concern about increasing deaths and disorder in Iraq instead of the "cakewalk" we were promised by the Bush administration.

2. "..it is left to the Democrats..."
I like that."..left to the Democrats..." it damn sure ain't gonna be right republicans who do.

Anyways... the problem I encounter with talking it up, is the fact that so many think that we oughtta 'nuke' our way into the history books. Whatta ya say to boneheads like that? The best I can come up with is that it is not a very Christian idea, this nuke bizz.

This issue is one the media can not hide. * can't hide from it. It can't be kept a secret like so many other things his cabal has.

This war, like the Nam war, will be over only after death by a thousand cuts. There's 25 million of them and only 100,000 of US. Do the math.

I prefer that the last cuts take place back home, as we cut out the leaders who lead us into this war, those should be the last of the thousand cuts. The elites who guided us to the invasion must all be removed from our service as soon as possible.
