We let them do it
New Congress must be forced to end Iraq nightmare

The president of the United States does not have the sense God gave a duck -- so it's up to us. You and me, Bubba.

I don't know why Bush is just standing there like a frozen rabbit, but it's time we found out. The fact is WE have to do something about it. This country is being torn apart by an evil and unnecessary war, and it has to be stopped NOW.

This war is being prosecuted in our names, with our money, with our blood, against our will. Polls consistently show that less than 30 percent of the people want to maintain current troop levels. It is obscene and wrong for the president to go against the people in this fashion. And it's doubly wrong for him to send 20,0000 more soldiers into this hellhole, as he reportedly will announce next week.

I missed her. Strike up the Hallelujah Chorus, she's back. :D

1. Can we Demos cut off funding for the Iraq War
or has the money already been allocated?

3. I don't know.
I wish they would. Iraq was wrong from the start, staying there won't make it better. We need to leave.

8. I'm not sure.
The budget is just another law; I suspect it can be changed or repealed.

7. I wish our politicians would learn two simple facts.
1. The American public will support your right to wage war.

2. The American public will not support you waging war for very long.

You either look bad at the beginning by not supporting the start of a war, or you look bad later for not wanting to end the war. The only logical choice you have is to not endorse politicians that like to kill people, that includes all politicians, even pResidents!

12. Murtha and Kucinich are vowing to cut off war funding
in order to stop it. That's the only way they stopped the Vietnam War.
Plow that money into domestic programs and treating our veterans.
