WHITE HOUSE SEEKS TO FIRE PROSECUTORS FROM TV’S 'LAW AND ORDER'
Showing no shame from the current scandal over fired federal prosecutors, the Bush Administration took the fight one step further today, seeking the termination of prosecutors from the legendary television program, Law and Order.

Chief among their targets was Sam Waterston....

Mr. Waterston was criticized for concentrating too many resources on homicide cases, particularly gay hate crimes, instead of serving the Justice Department’s prosecutorial priorities: convictions of Muslim fruit and falafel vendors on the streets of New York.
