Voter Guide and article from Sioux City
This is a fun little voter guide put out by a local, independent newspaper. It lists all of the candidates with their main issues a small bio and a quote.

1. Neat synopsis. But this bit is pretty weird
This is a campaign about choosing a leader for the Dems who will face
George W. Bush, the maverick Texas Republican.

Da wha?

"Maverick"? Bush is a "maverick"? The Annointed One of the GOP? So Annointed, in fact, that when McCain had the temerity to kick his ass in New Hampshire last time round, HE (McCain) was the one being labeled a "maverick." As in defying the wishes of the cattle herders in charge of the Puke party by running against the Chosen One.

I mean, I don't see the need for any adjective to modify Bush in that sentence, but if you are going to pick one, I can't think of anything more unlikely than "maverick."
