Supreme Court's close-call rulings lean right

WASHINGTON -- The Supreme Court liberated corporate and union political spending, limited students' speech and shielded the White House faith-based program from legal challenge Monday in 5-4 rulings that pointed up the court's shift to the right.

With its term rapidly nearing an end, the court has perhaps the biggest issue of the year still to decide: whether public school districts can take account of race in assigning students to schools.

A high school student's "Bong Hits 4 Jesus" banner got slapped down in a decision that restricts student speech rights when the message seems to advocate illegal drug use.

The court ruled 5-4 in the case of Joseph Frederick, who unfurled his handiwork at a school-sanctioned event in 2002, triggering his suspension and leading to a lengthy court battle

Justice isn't right or left.

The leaners (to the right) are nothing less than theocratic and fascist. They are so off-center that they think everyone else is leaning. But in fact, they are the only ones several bubbles off the level.

There are no left-leaning people in the world these days. There are the fascists, and everyone else.

And now the fascists have no place to hide. They are so blatant that no amount of smoke, mirrors, hand-waving or bribes can convince people that they are Justified to administer Justice.
