Watching BushCo Crumble
Ratings slipping, economy tanking, lies spiraling, credibility shot. Try not to cheer
This is what happens when it's all a house of cards.

This is what happens when you build your entire presidency on an intricate network of aww-shucks glibness and bad hair and cronyism and corporate fellatio and warmongering and sham enemies and economy-gutting policies and endless blank-eyed smirks that tell the world, every single day, whelp, sure 'nuff, the U.S. is full of it.

Shrub's ratings have dropped below 50 percent for the first (and probably not the last) time since they surged hugely right after 9/11 and he was hoisted in front of a wary America and puffed out his chest and pretended like he could find Afghanistan on a map and promised he would bomb every damn country on the planet that didn't have a McDonald's or an Exxon or a secret U.S. chemical-weapons deal.

Shrub's numbers are down. The nation is catching on. The armor of money and power is cracking. The smirk is waning. Dick's defibrillator is running on fumes. And Karl Rove, Shrub's master strategist, is scrambling, rushing down hallways, sweating hard, mapping out lib-killer tactics and frantically redirecting blame (CIA! FBI! The NSA!) as nine Demo candidates have a field day knocking all of Shrub's shortcomings out of the ideological park.

The best news I can find these days is that the press is actually publishing pieces like this. Once the press is with us, duhby is on the way out.

Bye Bye, duhby, enjoy your fast-approaching retirement in Crawford!! :hi:

6. Maybe nibble around the edge?
Blame this one or that staring and that is a good sign. These Bush men take no blame or anything.I understand even Jeb is getting back talk from the guys he used to push around. Hard to be pushed around if you are going to have to give up your voters to Bush and co. wants. FCC is a case in point.I believe Jeb is having trouble with Ins, or something to do with health care which must be big business in Fa. You see little things all over. You know ever time you fill that gas tank on the SUV you will think about the 21 pages on Saudie that are blacked out. Who does not like to think these people live like Kings on the profits from that gas.

now know the truth BUT they own the guns: military, national, cops, etc.

they own congress, they own justice, they own that cesspit the supreme court.

Are any of the guns on our side?
is congress on our side?
is justice on our side?
are lawyers on our side?
we know the supremes are not on our side.

8. The problem of Being Karl Rove
Edited on Sun Jul-27-03 02:22 PM by realpolitik
Is that he has had too much easy sucess.
He had a free ride from the corporate media.
But the corporate media is not about loyalty.
The corportate media is about ratings and money.

Karl had gotten used to having Ari around, and
took that masterful unciousness for granted.
Karl also is dealing with the spin of the previous spin, like a skater tucking in its elbows, the response time is shorter, and the stories are scarier. The fires are bigger, and harder to smother.

Look at the pathetic response now being given.-Everyone was behind us then, but are blaming us now.- is the essence of the administration. And the ultra hawks they are now sending out cry crocodile tears.
This is what the seemingly invincible Karl has been reduced to?

There are two important ways to respond to this, the first is in a spirit of comity and forgiveness, realizing that they shot their own foot off, right before the 04 race. That would be the collegial way, the governmentally wise way.

The other is to pile on, blow every whistle, poke every eye. Fight like a fiend, kick, shred, and humiliate the whole bunch of corporatist bastids so badly they live the rest of their lives in their private bannana republics.

That would be the prudent way, judging by the depths of their lawlessness in the last decade.
