SOS to passionate Hollywood Progressives. We desperately need your help!

If this is being read by Sean Penn (not too likely) or any other progressive/liberal Hollywood actor or actress, please think very seriously about what follows.

And if it's not being read by any of these patriotic Americans, then please help to contact them any way you can!

Here's the deal. Many liberal/progressive sites are now very excited about national (even international!) boycotts. An image that fits perfectly is that the present Bush/fascist government is like a Tyrannosaurs Rex, but with an Achilles' heel, and that heel is targeted national boycotts. Corporate fascism (our present government) seems dangerous and nearly invincible on the outside, but it has a VERY soft underbelly, and that underbelly is nationwide boycotts. Just watch how quickly EXXON changes its policies about global warming when they discover that targeted boycotts have become a nation wide movement and THEY are at the top of the list.


Yes, yes, most of us have heard about boycotts before, but the problem is to get people to DO THEM! That's the core frustration of such a power of the people strategy. We KNOW it will work (how could it not?), but it's never been put to an aggressive, nationwide, and systematically organized test.

The general sense is to have, say, 10 circulating corporations (the number is arbitrary, but it shouldn't be too large), which are given VERY high profile coverage, so that literally millions of Americans know exactly which corporations (or advertisers) are on the current boycott target list.

However, this all needs to be conducted like a business or research project, so that we have a "central location" for keeping things consistent and organized.

In short, we need a "Boycott Committee" -- or something like that. Lacking such national leadership and finely tuned organization, boycotts tend to be much ado about nothing. You've got yours and I have mine and we write frustrated articles and the pugs get a big laugh and nothing significant ever happens.

Hence, WE NEED YOUR HELP! We need this peaceful power of the people strategy to be supported by your wonderful charisma and hard won fame. If 4 or 5 of you took responsibility for this and had, say, a news conference, we all know that YOU WOULD BE LISTENED TO. You may not realize how potent is the effect of your political activism. And you probably also don't realize how profound is our gratitude when one of our favorite actors or actresses speaks out for America.

Now, this would be your baby. We would trust you to do the homework with people YOU trust to make sure the boycott targets were realistic and timely. As mentioned earlier, it would almost certainly be a "circulating" list of Earth & Democracy killing corporations, but IF (God willing!) you're willing to take on the responsibility to be the Boycott Committee, we would follow your suggestions and boycott the living s___ out your list of the week (or month, or whatever).

Conceivably, this could expand to INTERNATIONAL boycotts as well. Just think how such a thing would bond the "have not's" and middle and lower classes of multiple countries. Such international peaceful power of the people could be a literal quantum jump in human civilization.

But, we have to walk before we can run, so first things first is to boycott the elite/fascist corporations of our own country.

A handful of you could literally change the face of history, since you would be liberating grassroots, power of the people on a MASSIVE scale.

So, help us out, OK? Your country is dying as we speak and its nauseatingly obvious we'll never get ANY help from the dem/pug party (the lapdog of the vampire elites), so our Constitution, planet, and future is 100% up to us. Politics is part of the problem, not the solution. The only solution is individual patriotic Americans. We're absolutely, absolutely on our own. Reed and Pelosi are virtual Republican moles.

So, basically its grassroots, power of the people or an elite Police State. Would to God this was an exaggeration, but we all know its not.

But enough of my jabber. You folks get the idea. You couldn't get to where you are if you weren't exceptionally smart as well as talented.

In a way this piece is like throwing a bottle into the ocean of cyberspace and hoping (praying!) it gets to a passionate Hollywood progressive.
