6. Robert A Heinlein's "If This Goes On ..."

Reprinted as "Revolution in 2100". Heinlein considered the possibility of a right wing evangelical usurpation of the Constitution. The story is about the resistance to the rule of the "First Prophet". It is a good yarn, and given that it was written in the fifties suprisingly timely.

I would be surprised if all advocates of Americanism, of liberty, who believes in the right of the individual to act their conscience and to love and live as he or she sees fit will go quietly into that dark night.
