Clinton Compares Obama’s Appeal to Bush
By PATRICK HEALY
NASHUA, N.H. – At a rally with some 1,500 people here on Sunday afternoon, Hillary Rodham Clinton had separate comments about the current president and his predecessor.

Referring to the personal appeal that Senator Barack Obama enjoys among many Democrats, Mrs. Clinton said:

“I think it’s good to have a likeable president. But if I remember right, many people said they wanted to have a beer with George W. Bush. Maybe they should’ve left it at that – have a beer, don’t vote him in as our president.”

1. Uh Hillary? You just made put yourself WIDE open on this one...
After all, you're the only other candidate up there right now related to a former president...

3. Damn did she hit the nail on the head. What he did was pander to
eveybody. Obama has changed his position several times. Depending on whom he is talking to. He is now against gays, he used to be neutral. He is not against abortions he used to be for. He was for labor, they didn't endorse him so he is now against. See what I mean.

He is grinning and slapping backs thinking people will like him. But once the MSM really starts to post his views and flopping all over he place they might spit up that beer they wanted to drink with him.

4. I see Obama as an empty suit
He can spout slogans and stirring one liners and talk of change, but talk is cheap. If he is the nominee I will support him but I see little substance outside of emotional appeal.

6. I'm not a Hillary fan
and I don't know how fair it is to even link Obama with Bush in any way.

But I *do* agree with the idea that people are IDIOTS if they vote based on "likeability".

We're not voting for Best Friend Of The United States here.

7. The media is picking our candidate
She's exactly right. Obama is likeable so who cares about the warning signs, like his vote for the bankruptcy bill and the Patriot Act, etc.?

The media is giving Obama a free pass just as they did for George Bush.

9. She's right...
The truth hurts...

I wasn't going to go to the Nevada Caucuses - but now I am - to vote for Hillary...

Nevada's caucuses are on the 19th - a Saturday...
