Have you noticed how little putative respect these right-wing Republicans are showing for democracy these days? They lost the governor’s election in California and are trying to take it over by manipulating the recall process. Tom DeLay is attempting unprecedented midterm redistricting in Texas to take over the congressional delegation there. And then he goes to the Middle East for the purpose of undermining the president’s foreign policy there. And none of these loud-mouth cable TV or radio show hosts raises a peep. Jane Smiley wrote a letter to the Times suggesting this and it got me thinking; it’s not fascism, to be sure, but neither does it demonstrate any respect for democracy.
I don’t think shooting civilians for speeding is really the way to go in Iraq, but perhaps Cheney, Condi, Wolfie, Rummy, and all those smart folks know something I don’t. (Ed: You mean how Iraq has WMDs? Nukes? Al-Qaida ties? Democrats? You betcha, fella.)
http://www.msnbc.com/news/752664.asp?0cv=CB20Take the time to send a positive, 'Good job' message, which is embedded in his page. To my knowledge, it's the only 'Bullshit Stream News Source' which lists most of the cool, honest, investigative Alternative News Sources.
Every week I send an email to the below Whores requesting Eric take over Me The Press or is given his own show.
----
I truely believe Eric is one of the only honest reporters working for The Thousand Headed Beast, GE. And if you are in contact with reality you'd agree.
Could Eric take over Host for Me The Press? He'd really do an honest job for America!
Eric should be given more space in your Beast. More investigative reports.
Thank you,
