How could the pundits be wrong?
Edited on Wed Jan-09-08 08:17 PM by underpants
How? Pretty much the same way they were in 2006

The top two concerns of voters in every exit poll in 2006 where......the war and corruption.

Corruption? Why how did they remember that, the pundits asked themselves, we NEVER talk about THAT  in fact the pundits love going to the same lavish parties that the corruption hosts.

You haven't heard much about the corruption since about a day and a half after the elections have you?

Well they totally missed the boat on that one. The ruling party lost seats, lost its majority in a system gamed to keep things just as they are to the tune of 98 % certainty. And all the pundits had no idea. None.

Why? because if it isn't the topic du jour at the cocktail parties they don't have any idea about it.

Same thing goes for New Hampshire. The Punditry had been in town for what 4 days (after Iowa) and they think they can figure out a state that clearly votes directly against how Iowans do mostly, to my eye, to make fun of the pundits. But the pundits would have to get out more to know that.

1. Simple. The pundits and DC insiders circle-jerk with each other.
So they have no fucking clue what people on the street are actually thinking.

3. I call the Sunday morning talk shows. . .
the "Sunday morning circle jerk". Those clowns talk to no one except their own kind and themselves.
