The infrastructure is still descimated; hundreds of millions, if not billions of $$s are being wasted on fraud, mismanagement, incompetence; 3 million refugees; the little oil revenue being realized is MIA ...

But, for the government of Iraq, they were more concerned about a symbol - the flag, than the people ... sound like anyone we know? To me, it sounds as if they've been following "Democracy for R/W Dummies".

"The Iraqi Parliament voted to modify the country’s flag slightly. Three stars symbolizing the ousted Baath Party regime lead by Saddam Hussein will be removed."

I'm sure that will make everything better.
