As Ohio Goes So Goes the Nation
For the last 44 years at least:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080304/ap_on_el_pr/why_ohio

"Politically, Ohio has a very good mix of people from both the extremes and many who are in the middle when it comes to the issues facing the country," said Eric Rademacher, co-director of the Ohio Poll. "There is a great deal of socio-economic diversity in Ohio that's representative of the nation, and there's also an ideological diversity in Ohio that does a good job of representing the politics of the remaining 49 states."]

Watch closely tonight and see who takes the most votes: Clinton, Obama or McCain.

3. I with you. I moved from OH when it was turning more conservative with Reagan.
It use to be pretty much a Democratic working family state until the 70's and 80's. The factories shut down and the steel mills closed. People blamed the left. Maybe it will go back the other way now.

4. It swings back and forth regularly.
Supported Clinton X2
The Bush X2

I'm not that crazy about this place, myself. But we do tend to predict elections.....

Thems the fact.

7. "Watch closely tonight and see who takes the most votes: Clinton, Obama or McCain."
I don't understand. McCain took the most votes. But he had fewer to take and ran essentially unopposed. Meanwhile Clinton came in over Obama, but they are on the same ticket. So what am I supposed to infer from that? Hillary will run against McCain, but McCain will win? Hell I should just move to New Zealand now then.

9. Relax!
Somebody needs 2025 delegates. And that just ain't happening. Not for Obama. Not for Hillary. Not soon.

Look... what's not to understand? This is the JFK/ LBJ ticket of the new century. No matter what happens, we are gonna get both of them. Maybe Clinton/Obama (my preference.) Maybe Obama/Clinton (fine by me too.) Last evening sealed that deal as far as I am concerned. Now let the people decide!

Get the popcorn. Pull up a chair. It's gonna be a long primary season. Mr. McCain is a boring old guy. I actually like him a bit, but he is a bore. The Dems have the upper hand in media covereage. And it's gonna work to our favor. Esp. as the masses become more and more fervent in support of "their" candidate. Then the party merges.....

Can't wait til we are all friends again in November!

Susan

PS. Team Hillary, Lexington, meets this weekend. I'm there! So there...... Taking a week off before I begin working for "Nurses for Hillary" again!
