Don't you mean "the Democratic Candidate"? You can cling to your fantasy, but the fact is, Obama is now officially THE candidate. You can vote for him, or you can vote for McCain't. If you choose not to vote, or to write in YOUR candidate, but the net effect is the same. Make your choice.
