John McCain is finally recognized by the mainstream media as NOT a maverick. He's destroyed his brand, even to the point of his people worrying about carrying his own state.

It used to be that John McCain was seen as a “maverick,” a guy who would cross the aisle and work with the Dems on legislation the Repugs fought against. Ain’t the case anymore, as Paul West, the Washington Bureau Chief of the Baltimore Sun points out. Yeah, finally some folks in the MSM are getting it, that John McCain hasn’t been walking the walk. Here’s a little bit of West’s column from the Baltimore Sun:
