Cindy McCain sounds like a very sad, lonely woman
The Perfect Part

While Her Husband Takes the National Spotlight, The Reserved Cindy McCain Plays Her Supporting Role

(snip)

The McCains' marriage -- like any in which a spouse has chosen to remain in the home district -- has been marked by geographical distance. The McCains lived in Alexandria during the early years of their marriage, but Cindy eventually decided to move back to Phoenix, in part out of a desire to start a family where she'd grown up, Harper says. John came home on weekends.

Cohen says Cindy didn't seem to like Washington. "It's hard on wives," he says. "There used to be a rule: If your husband isn't in town, you don't exist."

Perhaps, suggests one person familiar with the McCain campaign, staying in Arizona was a way for Cindy to maintain her own identity. The source recalls a comment she made last year: "You know, when John's around he sort of sucks up all the light."

Cindy had several miscarriages before she gave birth to Meghan, who is 23 and now blogs about her dad's campaign; Jack, 22, who is at the Naval Academy; and Jimmy, 20, a Marine who has served in Iraq. "John was with me the first time I lost a baby," she told Harper's Bazaar last year, "but not for those after, which was hard."

4. McCain is a self centered child in a man's body...
Still looking for the validation of his father.

That's why he acts up, that's why he tries to be the Maverick, that's why he bullies his wife and those close to him...

5. he honed in on her extreme vulnerabilities
and has been bullying her ever since - I'm telling you that gal is not wicked or evil or noncaring or whatever crap is tossed at her - and she has no interest in being First Lady either. I feel sorry for her.

6. And don't forget the endless supply of pool boys
and stable boys, and lord know what else... maybe some maids? :D
Her company makes horse piss, and rails against MADD, where Coors, iirc, has at least worked to reduce drunk driving.
Here it's all about being the B.O.B. (not the battery operated kind). The BOB is a acronym that means the designated driver. bars give BOBs dispensation (like free/reduced soda) for being at the party and not drinking.
So maybe her marriage does suck, but seriously in all that time how much of is had mclame spent HOME?
Considering all the evil her company does, and them personally, who cares about her feelings?
When she starts to do something HUMAN, and humane, then i;'ll start thinking about caring.

7. Obviously, the worst thing we could do is elect John McCain President.
Cindy deserves to suffer no more and being first lady would impose more stress than she deserves for the rest of her life. She needs her husband at home in Arizona.

Save Cindy! Vote Obama!

8. She's Got Her Money to Keep Her Warm
One good divorce, and she can take an active role in fixing her life....if she has the wit and gumption to do so.

9. I've been wondering about this....
What is in this for her? She can easily walk away from the guy, since they have a pre-nup. Why does she stay in this marriage, if it's as loveless as it seems?

11. She and McCain sound like they chronically lie to each other
This article makes it sound like both she and her husband have consistently lied and deceived each other since the moment they met. If I were a conservative and read this article, I would leave with the impression that neither Cindy nor John was at all trustworthy.

- They lied about their ages when they met. He said he was 4 years younger, she said she was 4 years older. This sounds innocent enough until the article states that neither found out the truth about the other until they applied for their marriage license!

If that's just a yuk-fest and strikes you as cute, how about these other deceptions that show a consistent pattern that they are both deceptive:

- She hid her drug addiction from her husband, quite successfully. That he didn't know until after her parents busted her either shows her to be an excellent liar, or him to be absolutely uncaring and unobservant. Sounds like a combination of both.

- She learned to fly, got her pilot's license and bought a private plane, all without telling him.

It seems to me Cindy has learned the abused-spouse's art of hiding things from a temperamental and unstable husband. The lies these two perpetuate between themselves make George and Laura seem like couple of the year.

Waaaahhh, how 'bout all the military widows/widowers who will never, ever see their spouses again?

14. Save Cindy! Vote Obama!
I received the impression from that article that being First Lady would make her actively miserable. She doesn't like being in the spotlight, she doesn't have any interest in power, she prefers being quiet at home to living in Washington. I'm glad to see she continues her charitable work and the only time I've ever seen her look really happy is when she was in Vietnam (?) a few weeks ago on a children's charity trip. When she's standing behind John, she looks like she'd rather be disappearing into the wallpaper than have anyone notice her. I'm sure everytime he gets on a plane to go back to Washington, she dances around the house, reveling in the extra light, space and oxygen!
