The bankers of Wall Street have accomplished what al-Qaeda could
Edited on Sun Sep-21-08 12:56 PM by formercia
not.

The plotters of 9/11 were attempting to destroy the US financial system by bringing down the twin towers. They failed miserably but the criminals on Wall Street have managed to accomplish what a group of determined terrorists could not.

Who are the REAL terrorists?

2. It's funny you should say that. I'd recently been thinking why on earth
would the Iraqi freedom-fighters keep up the tempo of their attacks, when they can see what's happening in the US without their contribution in Iraq?

That must have been a major factor in the apparent effectiveness of the troop increase (I won't use the term, "surge"; such Newspeak wouldn't have been coined by the likes of William Faulkner or John Steinbeck, but by some "Cheap Jack" Neocon propagandist).

3. Great minds think alike

Yesterday I was wondering where that letter from, Osama Bin Ladin, ever went, with all his reasons and demands for striking the US, went? I don't know if it was authentic but it more or less describes why he considers America the great Satan, and how he'd like to see the demise of our excesses. I think, Prince Bandar, and the radical Muslims of Arabia will be proud of their brother Bush's effort in continuing the ruination they hoped to initiate. I wonder if there is a big payoff in it for him? Exile and being striped of all their wealth would be too good for all the disaster capitalists inhabiting this crooked Administration. Off to Dubai and UAE with all of them.

4. 'Financial markets are real terrorists' (The Hindu)

Tania Kishore Jaleel

Mumbai, Sept. 21 Surrounded by books and periodicals at his Worli apartment bedroom, Chandrakant Sampat hardly looks like one of the most successful investors in the country. But they don’t call him “The Warren Buffett of India” for nothing ...

He has built a massive fortune ...

How have the times changed? ...

For a man who has been active in capital markets for more than half a century, Chandrakant Sampat seems to hate them now. “When Tony Blair stepped down as the Prime Minister, he remarked that if asked ten years back who were the real terrorists, he would say the Irish. But now he’d say Al-Qaeda. If you had asked me a while back I would have said Al-Qaeda too; but now, I would say the real terrorists are the financial markets”. Authority without responsibility equals terrorism, he asserts ...

10. More like the enablers
They take their 20 pieces of Silver and sell out the Constitution.

You can add a lot of Democrats to that group as well.
