The United States: A Country Without Mercy
December 16, 2008 "Information Clearinghouse" -- The Christmas season is a time to remember the unfortunate, among whom are those who have been wrongly convicted.

In the United States, the country with the largest prison population in the world, the number of wrongly convicted is very large. Hardly any felony charges are resolved with trials. The vast majority of defendants, both innocent and guilty, are coerced into plea bargains. Not only are the innocent framed, but the guilty as well. It is quicker and less expensive to frame the guilty than to convict them on the evidence.

Many Americans are wrongfully convicted, because they trust the justice system. They naively believe that police and prosecutors are moved by evidence and have a sense of justice. The trust they have in authorities makes them easy victims of a system that has no moral conscience and is untroubled by the injustice it perpetrates.

Lt. William Strong, son of a military family, tired of his wife’s unfaithfulness and filed for divorce. The unfaithful wife retaliated by accusing Strong of rape. There was no evidence of rape, but Strong was deceived into a plea bargain. Once Strong entered a plea, he was double-crossed and given 60 years.

1. The underbelly..
The no class. I should have been arrested a zillion times, but I never got as much as a traffic ticket. I know how privileged I am.

2. The United States: A Country Without Solidarity
Why do you allow your fellow men to be treated with unjustice and violence? Why do you not protect each other but succumb to willfull slavery?

When the police shot a Greek Youth, his friend and comrades took the streets. When police arrests those that protest, they fight the police and demand that their comrades be released.

When will Americans grow a spine?

3. I am right now fighting a corruption ring, the officer and judge are
in cohoots. I was lane splitting at a crosswalk tthat backs up for a quarter mile. The officer wrote the ticket on a bullshit charge. I went home stunned. I called all the local police offices, and they all said that it was bogus. Then, the judge used the same exact words as justification in court as the officer did on the street. They have big bikes and they dont worry about overheating in long traffic. There is pressure for the cops to feather their own beds. Like in the first great depression, any cop you saw was bad luck. The keystone cops was a developement of this. I tried to tell the judge that this kind of scam will only lead to officers being unsafe in public. The fact that these officers hide their motorcycles, and point at us from the curb, will see them at great peril. I made the judge call for a recess to gain composure, after me being first in line to testify. I told him the truth. I was however too polite, and I will not make that mistake in my appeal. I hate fucking crooked cops and judges.
