OBAMA and how Republicans don't know what they are talking about
cwlawrence's CAPS Blog

... That Neo-Conservative Blonde Chick on TV really pisses me off and makes a bad name for all Republicans.

I don't know her name. Nor do I care to know it. Most likely related to Rush Limbaugh. Anyhow, she says things that evoke hate and fear and she preys on the ignorant, naive, impressionable, masses. And she represents the Republican Party. Seriously, is that what Republicans want to be associated with? Fear and hate? Pessimism and ignorance? I kinda thought that after 8 years of Bush, Republicans would be rethinking their points of view.

Do you remember when John McCain was campaigning and his crowd began chanting "terrorist, terrorist, terrorist" in reference to Obama? I remember the look on McCain's face; he was utterly horrified. This man who spent years in a POW camp and a lifetime in government, had seen something so evil that it caused him to take a step back and stutter a bit. He realized that moment, that the people out in that crowd, not so much cared about his success but wanted to form a lynch mob. That is what we are left with; those who want a better future and those who want blood to run in the streets.

Those of you who want a better future but find yourselves with the mob of fear and hate, we welcome you with open minds. The road ahead is long and difficult and we ask that you work with us (even if you disagree with some of what we do) ...

1. You have
it.
I think it was Keith Olberman the other night who said the Republican Party had been hijacked or taken over by neo cons. I would say Warhawks, or psychos and lunatics. It all gives Republicans a bad name, and some of them don't like it. Viz, Obama was elected and got MANY republicans to vote for him.
Like you say, even McCain was taken aback by it (the chanting) and he is a warhawk, not a real republican, as many of us have known for years.
But no thinking person should be listening to Rush Limbaugh. There is no thought there, just emotion. And what we need today on both sides is rational thought.
