Westboro Chuch's Hate-a-thon Gets a Taste of Love

I rarely read articles that make me feel good about the way things are going, but this one was great. Westboro Church is known for parading around the funerals of soldiers and claiming that the soldier's deaths are because we permit homosexuality. They have, in fact, prayed for the deaths of thousands of soldiers just to show America how mad God is. They recently protested a Kansas school who elected a gay prom king. The school turned out in force. They surrounded the protesters and then were very nice. They held signs that said "God loves everyone." and "I forgive you." They also raised $5000 for AIDS research.

Reminds me of a rally the Klan had in Cleveland about 10 years ago. They were outnumbered by protesters by something like three-to-one.
