Jindal, then what nickname would you choose?

Bobby Jindal carried the GOP response to Barack Obama last night, about the only Republican in the country who is not tainted by the last eight years of Republican incompetence and outright corruption. But he spouted the same old tired Republican line, like a puppet, which means he deserves a nickname. Give us one, willya?

people brom India who strive to achieve a dream. I'll give that to Jindal, though he's American and only of Indian extraction. As to the Mumbai comment, perhaps it should be Curry Gumbo. The guy is from Louisiana where corruption is rife, and that's likely how he can stand being near his fellow Republicans, whose whiff of corruption would knock the normal man down.

I live on the TX-LA border and have heard it with some regularity, mostly from Cajuns using it in a self-deprecating fashion. However, it's unlikely a non-Cajun person would be able to get away saying that one to a Cajun's face without it being seen as an insult (for obvious reasons!).

That was a very honorable thing to do.

Because that's what Republicans do. They project this completely sort of celestial perfection -- their hair, their cr@p about religion and family values, their squeaky clean life styles that won't bear inspection. It's preternatural. No real people live like that but, that's what Republicans put out there.

And in trying to be "too good", they make themselves into cartoons. Someone who actually has a brain like this guy -- it must be hell for him to constantly have to simplify and exaggerate what he thinks and who he is. :shrug:

Except that it's not very fair to the character, "Jan Brady".

The timing and content of his farcical "response" screamed "Me Me Me", including a mini-biography that he wishes could rival that of our president.
