Lou Dobbs' public battle and the future of our jobs
Donna Gentile O'Donnell: CNN financiers' public battle and the future of our jobs April 2, 2004

Well, the gloves are off.

It's a no-holds-barred, knockdown, drag-out, fight-to-the-death conflict of conscience colliding with economic policy.

The presidential race, you might think? Nope. It's the incredible public battle on CNN between Lou Dobbs and James Glassman.

Dobbs -- the lead CNN financial analyst who brought his network to the fore with his multiple-award-winning shows, including Moneyline -- is cutting a wide swath across the conventional wisdom regarding trade policy. This Harvard Business School grad, who has years of experience in the world of finance, has morphed -- right in front of the eyes of millions of viewers -- into a populist, complete with a caliber of rant that makes those who are part of the high-finance business elite shudder. Dobbs has launched a series called "Exporting America" and is highlighting in excruciatingly painful detail the costs of our current economic policy, which not only permits but also encourages corporations to export American jobs

1. Where is Mr. Dobbs?
He has not been on CNN this week, I'm concerned that he is going to be pushed off. He has been so focused on the economy and illegals in this country, many thing the the public needs to be aware of.

5. I've not heard this, nor can I find any news articles on it. There's
mention of his owning a minority stake in space.com and Integrity Bank company on his CNN website, but I cannot find anything about his leaving CNN in the news.

9. glASSman is the same ass who said the Dow would go to 36,000 by 2005
Yes, Mr glASSman said those Bush Tax Cuts would send the Stock Market through the roof. Mr glASSman is also the biggest pusher of Social Security privitization. in fact he loves that Chilean privitized system...

BUT

Mr. glASSman never explains why Pinochet stuck with the old system, and I wonder why???
