5. I know I should be laughing but...
I can't laugh at this yet. Woody Allen said that comedy is tragedy + time. I need more time. I also need a Democrat in the White House and Democratic control of the House and Senate. I need a Supreme Court so packed with my brand of activist judges that they have to bring in more chairs. I need a National Institutes of Health that's leading the way in stem cell research. I need a country that mandates a living wage for all its citizens, and boasts a social protection system that is the envy of the world. And I need a country whose citizens are finally up to speed with the Enlightenment.

Well, it would be a start.
