If Saudi sponsorship of the 9/11 hijackers is somehow proved by the redacted portions of the report, then why did the Saudi foreign minister travel all the way to Washington to ask for their release? He was pointedly rejected by the President, and was met, instead, with a request from Condoleeza Rice to turn over Omar al-Bayoumi, an employee of the Saudi Civil Aviation Authority, as a material witness to the ongoing terrorism investigation.


A multi-agency task force report was leaked to the media, detailing and confirming Cameron's account. The idea that the Israelis had some knowledge of the attacks, or at least were familiar with the plotters, was elaborated on in a recent news story in Die Zeit. Based on French intelligence sources, the respected German weekly reports that the Mossad, Israel's spy agency, was tracking the hijackers 24/7.

went in, a woman saw them cheering and hi5'n on top of a moving van while filming the attack, they were arrested and quietly deported. Bush was given specific warnings in august, that is why he was out of the area in FL. i heard CNN report that he had been moved out of the area because of high security alert.

Time and again they prove they are no friends of the American people.

What if the report says that they tried to warn Bushco but were ignored? Will you figure out who our friends are then? Amazing how so many here prefer to believe the worst about Mossad while ignoring the obvious about the Saudis.

No way did this happen without the Mossad having at least a pretty good idea that something heavy was going down.

Who the hell said it was "the Jews"??? Are you seriously trying to tell me that it's ok to wonder about who did 9/11 as long as you don't offend Israel?

There are a number of things which arouse suspicion:

1. The Israelis arrested in NYC on 9/11.
2. The message sent via Odigo 2 hours prior to the attack
3. The Carl Cameron story (on FOX) about Israeli agents tracking DEA agents and attempting to access US military facilities prior to 9/11, which was subsequently spiked by his employer.
4. The obvious benefit to Sharon's govt to turn world opinion against arabs.

What I'm sick of is people who stick up for butchers like Sharon just because he's jewish. Or maybe you'd prefer it if I put the blame on you every time Bush did something wrong, since that's the principle you seem to be applying.

There were Israelis arrested in New Jersey after the attack. We don't know why and they were deported.

To which no one seems to have responded. There was no mass truancy from work on 9/11 by Israelis or any other Jews.

Had not heard this at all. Was this here or overseas? And is this thought to have anything to do with 9/11, or is it about something else entirely?

The Arabs do not need Sharon's help in turning world opinion against them. They manage that very well by themselves. Please don't infantalize them by suggesting that they wouldn't be capable of thinking this up on their own. I think they were as surprised as we, as well as Bushco, were that both buildings were destoyed, along with others, rather than just heavily damaged.

There is some indication that Israel tried to warn us, since they have plenty of Arabic speakers, but that Bushco ignored their warnings.

according to a recent article in The Guardian, just as Rummy and Wolfie set up the Office of Special Projects within our intel to justify an invasion of Iraq, the ultra right Likkud party has a similar group within Mossad.

I'm not saying they had anything to do with 9-11 or not. All I'm saying is that it is ridiculous to never be able to see or admit that Sharon is not Israel, does not speak for many Israelis, just like Bush does not speak for many Americans.

And the two have a lot of connections via Perle, for instance, who Sy Hersh noted, shared information with someone associated with Likkud in the 70s.

So, is Sy Hersh blaming the Jews? Isn't he a Jew? Does he act and think the same way that Perle does just because he's Jewish?

I don't think so.

speaking about this I believe it is the Saudis. People around him say it is Saudi Arabia and he never gives any indication that it may be another government.
