Admirers Await Obama in Turkey
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/04/04/AR2009040401484.html?hpid%3Dtopnews⊂=AR

Shoe shiner Kasim Kirsakal sat outside a mosque, directly across from a bank using a poster of President Obama to promote low-interest loans.

"Obama is trustworthy; that's why people like those ads," he said, referring to Garanti Bank's poster campaign and its popular television spot, in which an Obama look-alike promotes the bank at a mock White House news conference.

When Obama arrives in Turkey on Sunday night for a two-day visit to this capital city and Istanbul, he will find a nation of nearly 72 million Muslims almost giddy at the prospect of improved relations with the United States after years of tension with the Bush administration.

"Obama is going to just mesmerize people," said Ali Carkoglu, professor of political science at Sabanci University in Istanbul. "He's going to be a rock star."

5. My hubby as counseled me to get away from the inner sanctum of DU.
He says that I need only to observe what this President is doing, and hear him tell us why he is doing it, and if it makes sense to me, appreciate it. He said, otherwise, I'm gonna drive myself crazy. He's a pretty smart guy who told me that Obama would be our next President back in September of 2007. Hubby didn't sweat it at anytime throughout the election campaign. Me, I was a nervous wreck! :)

6. This is HUGE. We need a lot of talking heads all over talking about
his reception in a Muslim country. We need the visibility of moderate Muslims all over the TV screens so more of America knows they exist
