The CraigsList Killer More than “Boy Next Door”
CraigsList killer Philip Markoff was clean cut, handsome, and a College Republican. Still, not all College Republicans become serial killers. It is far more likely some deep-seated hatred of women and people of other races that set off his CraigsList spree. To be clear, College Republicans do not hate women and minorities. Not at all.

6. "College Republican Killer" somehow doesn't strike the same note of fear ...
as Craig's List Killer.

2. Hum, but there is an theme of patriarchy in all GOP organizations.
Edited on Thu Apr-23-09 07:02 AM by ShortnFiery
Not unlike Stephanie Miller, but on a smaller scale, I endured an politically active GOP family. I've met my mom's GOP buddies and they all were, IMO, self-loathing women. They lived to serve "their man." It was nauseating to watch how little they truly valued feminism and their own personal potential.

They were nothing without their MEN. :puke:

3. What is it with these "M" names that describe what people do?
Bernie MADOFF "made off" with everyone's money.

Phillip "MARKOFF" marked those 'dreadful awful women' off his list....and stole their money!

What kills me is the description of the miserable asshole as a nice guy who occasionally made offensive (bigoted/misogynistic) comments. Nice people don't make those kinds of comments.

8. Not been a good few months for College Republicans
First Ashley Todd, now this monster.

He was born into privilege and hated woman. I doubt he saw his victims as the real human beings they were.

13. "it could be argued that you are already warped to even consider becoming a College Republican."
Yes, it certainly could be argued.

Not all those with sociopathic tendencies end up killing people- at least not directly.
