Worse than Watergate
John Dean says the Iraq war and 9-11 response are worse than Watergate because people died.

Impeachment still requires a body of evidence.

I always get nervous when Bush dissappears at his ranch for extended periods of time like just before 9-11.

I wonder if all their plans are encypted beyond any court to decipher?

1. The sliding scale of morality has to be adjusted for inflation, I guess.
Personally, I always thought Iran-Contra was "worse" than Watergate, but I always lose when I debate this with people. The debate over 9/11 is still ongoing, so we have to wait and see. Zippergate was just hypocrisy-fueled idiocy (and God bless Larry Flynt for putting an end to it all). But the Iraq War -- well, that's going to be one for the ages.

2. Actually, all that's required for impeachment...
is a majority vote in the House. Unfortunately, there's no way we're going to get that, regardless of the evidence. :grr:

3. My wild guess --
when it comes time to unseal presidential records from this administration, historians and journalists are going to find a lot fewer documents than would be expected. I'm guessing they've already started shredding paper and zapping hard drives.

(Nice to see you, Don... haven't talked to you since the String Asylum died. Any hidden fiddles in that pic? I haven't found any... -Chris O.)

The string asylum became a begging for $ forum and unbearable under the scrutiny of Gray and Fubbi who became banning crazy. I left before they could gloat that they had purged me.
They can now be found on ez boards.

Authoritiva made me laugh out loud. - in a good way.

...and I don't either. But you and Mr. Horowitz have a right to your opinion.

10. I read Mr. Deans book....
and I like how he makes a legal case for impeachment of George W. Bush and how Bush and Cheney have a secret government within the WH bypassing all other agencies. What Dean laid out so beautifully is that Bush violated the very Resolution (a law passed by Congress) that granted him authorizatiob for war. An interesting read. Why the media does not talk about this is disgusting!
