G20 Summit to be held in Pittsburgh in September

White House Press Secretary, Robert Gibbs announced in his press briefing Thursday that the next G20 summit will be held in Pittsburgh in September.

The G20 summit that was held earlier this year in London where President Obama met with leaders from other G20 nations to discuss the world economy. The London summit meeting was a success as the G20 nations reached consensus on the flagging world economy.

The September G20 summit will focus on building a new green economy and it was for this reason that Pittsburgh was chosen according to Kevin Evanto, a spokesman for the county's Chief Executive, Dan Onorato.

1. Let's not disappoint our bretheren and sisteren from London by not crashing the party....
..... Pittsburgh is only a 4-hour drive from Detroit. I'll be there, and not to greet the G20 warmly either.

6. The new convention center is a Green Building
It's the first Gold-level LEED certified convention center in the world. The Green Building Alliance is leading the way in eco-friendly construction. It's a perfect place to show off the "Green Economy". Besides, it's my former hometown.

5. Downtown Pittsburgh is beautiful and the area is Democratic.
It is the areas closer to Ohio and West Virginia that are -behind the times so to speak and where guns shows rein.
